What is Elim Shores? Elim Shores is a retirement community consisting of 64 apartment homes in a lovely three story building located on the shores of Mitchell Lake. Our residential setting, homelike atmosphere, service and fellowship make us one of the Twin Cities’ metropolitan areas most desirable retirement communities. In addition, Elim Shores offers active seniors independence and security without the responsibilities of yardwork, snow removal and maintenance. Our residents do love their personal gardens, though!

Is Elim Shores for rent or for sale?

Elim Shores is an affordable rental community. The prices vary by size and style of the apartment homes. At Elim Shores, we offer several different floor plans, designed with you in mind. These vary from one bedroom apartment homes with deck to a spacious two bedroom two bath apartment. A fully refundable entrance deposit fee is required prior to occupancy.

What does the rent include?

• All utilities-electricity, heat, water and garbage removal. You pay only your own telephone charge.

• Light housekeeping service

• Scheduled transportation

• Urgency call system monitored 24 hours

• Educational, recreational and social activities coordinated by trained staff

• 24-hour building security

Available on a fee-for-service basis:

• Dining room with flexible meal options

• Underground garage parking

• Guest room accommodations

Elim Shores is thoughtfully planned to provide cheerful community spaces that include a great room with adjoining kitchen, activity room, dining room, beauty/barber shop, extra storage, woodworking shop, mini-store, two laundry rooms on each floor, and yes….don’t forget special plots for gardening!
