Redeemer Health & Rehab Center, a 141-bed Elim Care facility, has over 50 years of experience in caring for the elderly and medically challenged adults. Redeemer’s experienced staff provide the highest degree of professional care and encourage each resident to live as independently as possible with dignity. Striving to build a home-like environment, Redeemer is building on the principles of the Eden Alternative. The Eden Alternative was designed to combat loneliness, helplessness and boredom by providing access to companionship, meaningful activities and personal choices.

On-Site Healthcare

In addition to 24-hour nursing care, Redeemer offers many services on-site so residents are not required to travel to clinics.  Physicians and Nurse Practitioners examine residents in their rooms and coordinate care with staff.  Laboratory, audiology, opthamology, dental, podiatry, psychology, psychiatry, and x-ray services are available, in addition to acupuncture and massage therapy.  Pharmacy services are also available and prescription and over-the-counter medications are delivered 24 hours a day.

Rehabilitative Services

Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists work with residents and nursing staff to rehabilitate clients to the highest level of performance. Goals are established for all residents to increase their independence, and for our short-term residents, to return them to their own homes as soon as possible. Redeemer also offers an outpatient rehabilitative clinic for those in the community needing services.

Rehab Unit

Our growing Short-Term Rehab Unit provides comprehensive rehabilitative services for individuals who plan to return home or to another community setting following an illness, surgery, health or condition change, and hospitalization.  Therapy, nursing, social services and other staff coordinate care and arrange for services upon discharge from Redeemer.  Our commitment to compassion, excellence and innovation is evident in the success of our residents who are able to reclaim their independence and reach their individualized goals.  

Spiritual Services

Our full time Chaplain staff provides for the spiritual needs of residents and staff through a variety of religious services for people of all denominational backgrounds. Our spiritual life ministries include worship services, Bible studies and personal counseling.

Activities

Our Activities staff works with residents to enhance their lives through cultivating interests and hobbies. Crafts, gardening, bowling, music, games and community outings are just a few examples of how residents can continue participating in activities they enjoyed at home. Redeemer Health & Rehab Center has a registered music therapist providing therapy to residents at all levels of functioning.  Our on-site childcare program, Grandma’s House, provides daily intergenerational opportunities to enrich the lives of residents and staff.  Redeemer is also home to dogs, cats, birds, guinea pig, and fish, which creates a life-giving environment for all.

Special Care Unit

Residents with Alzheimer’s Disease/ Dementia have special and unique needs. All of Redeemer’s Special Care Unit staff are specially trained to care for those with memory loss. Residents on this secure unit enjoy a safe and stable environment, which includes special activity programs designed for each individual’s capability.

Hospice

In addition to its existing services, Redeemer contracts with various hospice agencies to provide terminally ill residents and their families with additional support, care and comfort. Hospice and its specially trained staff supervise pain management and comfort care needs.

Privacy With Companionship

Redeemer is pleased with its home-like community featuring semi-private rooms, private rooms, and innovative semi-private suites that offer privacy with companionship. Residents in semi-private suites enjoy a private room with shared bath at no additional expense. Redeemer’s facility revitalization promotes a non-institutional setting with warmth and charm. Amenities include a coffee and gift shop, lounges to accommodate every gathering need, a large therapy clinic, and cheery dining rooms. Redeemer is amply equipped to meet the diverse physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial needs of those we serve.
