Sub-acute Care defined…
Comprehensive inpatient care for persons having had an acute illness, injury, or exacerbation of a disease process.

Nursing Services
Our professional caregivers are skilled in providing high quality comprehensive sub-acute care for long-term and short-term clients. We use primary care nursing models which have a high patient-to-nurse staffing ratio. Our program is client centered and outcome oriented. We have been successful in achieving excellent clinical results and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Transitional-Sub-acute Care
As a professional, well-established organization, we focus on delivering high quality, compassionate, short-term transitional sub-acute care in a safe, family oriented atmosphere to adults of all ages. Our programs facilitate independent living. Our facility promotes wellness, motivating people to maintain or rehabilitate their physical, spiritual, social, and psychological independence.

Strong Tradition of Caring
The Pastoral Care at New Harmony Care Center serves to greatly diminish the feelings of vulnerability that naturally result from growing physical and mental challenges. At the same time, the chaplain can counsel family members who may wish assistance in relationships with loved ones in loss, transition, change, and recuperation.
The pastoral care at NHCC is readily available for those who desire it, and quietly standing by, for those who may need it in the future. It is provided within the context of Christian beliefs and values. Moreover, the chaplain’s involvement with residents extends far beyond leading worship and Bible studies to that of pastoral care.
The religious preference of every resident is respected and considered a personal matter. Worship services, devotions, prayer, Bible studies, personal visits, and counseling are all offered for those who wish to participate. NHCC’s pastoral care team provides security in the knowledge that there is someone close by who cares—a professional who is compassionate, experienced, and supportive. It is our mission of ministry to serve the whole person.
