Resident pianist shows painting talent as well.
Among the paintings being auctioned at Thursday’s “March Madness” event at Elim Nursing home, is one created by Earl Tesch. Now back in his apartment, Earl had been in the nursing home in December and participated in the Art Without Boundaries program there. Earl has had an apartment in the Meadows for over 10 years now and frequently shares his piano talents with the Nursing Home residents as well as providing accompaniment for all church services held in Friendship Hall.
Music with Merle
Join Merle Cernohlavek, one of our newest residents, on October 29th as he performs with the Red Johnson Band at the American Legion in Waconia.
Merle has performed in a number of country and old time bands over the years, usually as a drummer. Although he’s given up the drum set, he’s switched to harmonica and he’s joined in several times with other musicians playing at the nursing home. For information, call (952)442-5340.
