A Benefit for Cameron

Cameron is an amazing three year old in the Early Preschool Classroom at Elim Children’s Center. He has spina bifida, hydrocephalus, Arnold Chiari II malformation of his brain, and neurogenic bowel and bladder.

In his short life, Cameron has had over 10 major neurosurgeries, countless medical procedures and has been hospitalized at Children’s Hospital of Minnesota over fifteen times. Cameron had a serious surgery in August and had to be hospitalized for several weeks. During the weeks following, he did not recover as quickly as expected and an additional shunt had to be placed to release some of the pressure in Cameron’s brain.

Cameron is a brave little boy with a positive attitude and outgoing personality despite all that he has been through. His family is a shining example of strength, courage and unyielding faith. In order to benefit his family and to help with medical costs, we hosted a spaghetti feed and silent auction and over $3,500 was raised for the family.
