Milaca Elim Golf Classic

Start your summer off right by participating in the upcoming Milaca Elim Golf Classic benefiting the residents of Elim Care & Rehab Center in Milaca, Minnesota!

Get your foursome ready and mark your calendar for the tournament, which will be taking place on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Stones Throw Golf Course in Milaca. Registration begins at 12 p.m. and the shotgun start will take place at 1 p.m. A picnic supper and ceremony will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m.

2013 Annual Ladies Auxiliary Salad Luncheon

Wednesday, April 24th the Ladies Auxiliary hosted another successful Salad Luncheon. There were 202 attendees this year. All proceeds will be used to benefit the lives of the Milaca Elim Care residents. In the past, they have been able to provide blanket warmers, drapery, blinds and hospice room furniture all as a result of the Salad Luncheon proceeds.

A new addition to the Salad Luncheon was the creation and sale of the Ladies Auxiliary Salad Recipe books. They sold 53 books at the luncheon. Recipe books are still available for $3.00 each at the Country Store, located in the Elim Home.

The winner of the garden bench drawing was Sarah Iberling, a nursing student.

Thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary members for hosting this event as well as everyone that donated salads. We appreciate your efforts at making this event a success!

Milaca Elim Staff Contributes Big to Local Food Pantry

Throughout the year, the Elim Care & Rehab Center and Country Meadows Assisted and Independent facilities in Milaca are truly blessed with support from members of Milaca and surrounding communities. When the team received word that March was National Food Drive Month, they knew it was time to give back to the community they called home. Teams of Elim and Country Meadows staff began to bring in food items and monetary donations hoping to be the big winner in the campus food drive. When all was said and done, the staff of the Environmental Services department came out to be the big contributors! In total, over 2,002 pounds of food value in cash and food donations were delivered to the Milaca Pantry at the end of March.
