Grandma’s House Daycare and Child Care Center
At Grandma’s House Children’s Center, children ages six weeks to 12 years old thrive in a nurturing and loving environment that promotes learning through play and dynamic formal instruction.
Located at Redeemer Health and Rehab Center in Minneapolis, children at Grandma’s House have the unique opportunity to benefit from an intergenerational setting by interacting with the “grandmas” and “grandpas” who call Redeemer home.
Since there is a strong correlation between a child’s early experiences and success throughout life, we believe that high quality child care should be all about enhancing a child’s learning experiences from birth through school-age.
At Grandma’s House, daycare children are learning all day long through spontaneous and formal teacher directed learning; as well as through play, peer-interactions, and activities with the Redeemer residents.
Family-Centered Daycare Center
The children also have an opportunity to learn through the everyday life experiences shared together through our family-centered, multiple-age style of daycare. Children receive lots of positive individual attention in our small family-style environment with a total of only ten children under school-age at a time.
We are licensed to have an additional four school-age children who join us on school breaks, before and after school, and during the summer months as well.
The teachers at Grandma’s House Children’s Center have a passion for making each child’s day fun and educational. We know it is a successful day for the teachers and parents, when parents pause and ask us how to best help their children learn a new skill or new concept outside of the daycare setting. Our teachers love having the opportunity to work with our daycare parents, sharing ideas back and forth on how to continually help the children as they learn and grow each day.
