Watertown is a small city in Carver County on the western edge of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Originally founded as a nursing home to principally serve the local rural population, Elim has grown to be one of the pre-eminent facilities of its size serving residents from 3 surrounding counties and throughout the entire metro area—all the while retaining its small town feeling and quality of care.
Our long term care nursing services provide support for the memory and behavioral needs of our ladies and gentlemen, as well as custodial care for our residents. Scheduled daily activities engage our residents for quality of life and daily communication with physicians helps to assure we meet the special needs of each of our residents.
Watertown Senior Rehab Services
Elim of Watertown has also been a leader in the integration of rehabilitation services within skilled nursing home facilities. Our pioneering partnership with Pro Rehab brings a full component of physical, occupational, and speech therapies into our facility to meet the needs of medically complex patients as they achieve the highest quality of life.
No one looks forward to utilizing the services of a nursing home—and we understand that. Many of our staff have been here 5 years or longer. For us this is a calling as much as a vocation. Our Levels of Care
Restorative/Rehab Nursing Care
Therapy and nursing staff members work closely together to develop and execute individualized, incremental rehabilitation care plans for both our long-term and short-term residents. Through this results-oriented program, residents are encouraged to rehabilitate quickly and regain their strength in order to reach their full potential.
Therapy Services
Our specialized rehabilitation unit offers residents physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation therapies six days a week. Through these services, residents gain confidence in their physical strength, fine motor skills and speech abilities.
Long Term Care
For individuals whose health and physical needs can no longer be met at home, Elim Rehab and Nursing Home offers excellent 24-hour nursing care. Our innovative programs and services focus on the holistic health of our residents and are always administered by highly qualified staff in a compassionate, resident-centered manner.
Hospice
In order to provide for the needs of our terminally ill patients and their families, Elim Rehab and Nursing Home offers hospice services. Through this program, patients and families can receive the additional support, care and comfort they need while working directly with staff who are trained in pain management and comfort care needs.
