Caregiver Support Group

Elim Oasis Adult Day Center is very excited about a new project that is currently in the planning stages and expected to begin in January, 2012. We have collaborated with Faith in Action in Elk River and East Central Senior Resource Center in Cambridge to start a support group for caregivers.

Someone from each team will undergo a six week class in order to be trained in the “Powerful Tools for Caregivers.” They will then start a support group for caregivers using the principals and tools learned in the class. During the support group, Elim Oasis will engage the care-receiver for free while the caregiver is in the support group. We are excited about this collaboration and how it will make a difference in our community.
