Senator Al Franken Presents Legion of Honor Medal to Resident of Princeton Elim

On Saturday, January 12th, Senator Al Franken presented the France Legion of Honor medal to Chester Hoeft, a resident at Elim Care in Princeton, MN. Senator Franken commented that he was “doing one of the great honors of his office” by being able to present this award. Chester is 91 and has been a resident of Elim Care for several years.

His nurse, Erika Nelson, who is a ten year veteran of the Minnesota National Guard, feels that it is an honor to serve the greatest generation “in their time of need. We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for them doing what they did.”
