When you walk through the doors of the Baptist Home, you know you are entering a special place.
The homelike atmosphere, friendly staff and caring volunteers all help to make the Baptist Home one of Bismarck’s premier providers of skilled nursing and independent living a true home for all those we serve.
The loving and professional care provided to our residents for the past 70 years has earned the Baptist Home many honors, including the coveted “Best Practices Award” from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
More importantly, however, our dedication to excellence has earned us the respect and trust of those for whom we care.

Our Levels of Care
About Our Skilled Nursing Facility
Founded in 1940 by the Association for the North American Baptist Churches of the Dakotas, the vision of the Baptist Home began with the Dakota Conference of Women’s Missionary Union setting aside $100.00 for the future project of an Old People’s Home.
Seventy years later, the Baptist Home is still proudly serving the Bismarck area, offering a wide variety of senior adult housing for independent living and skilled nursing services.
From its inception, the mission of the Baptist Home has encompassed service grounded in the love of Christ. Christ cared for people, meeting their physical and spiritual needs because of His great love for them. We follow His example as we minister to the needs of our residents.
Currently, the Baptist Home has 141 beds devoted to skilled nursing care, 15 beds that are part of the memory care unit and 10 beds that offer basic care services. Also located on the Baptist Home campus is a 36-unit independent living apartment building, the Baptist Apartments.
In 2009, prompted by a desire for an outside partner with expertise in operating multi-service campuses, the Baptist Home merged with Elim Care, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Both entities are evangelical, faith-based organizations specializing in providing excellent senior housing and healthcare services. Together, the two organizations share over 150 years of service to their respective communities.
With the newfound partnership between the Baptist Home and Elim Care, it is anticipated that the services of the Baptist Home will be expanded in the next two to three years. Our new facility is expected to be completed in the summer of 2013.
